jada-pinkett-smith.jpgSome naysayers may dismiss her as merely the ghetto chum of the late Tupac Shakur, or as the wife of Will Smith, but Essence Magazine differs and will honor Jada Pinkett Smith in its First Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheonon February 1st  for her accomplishments  in a decade-long career. Pinkett Smith’s accomplishments range from acting roles on the 90s black college sitcom “A Different World”, as well as movie roles in Ali, Nutty Professor, A Low Down Dirty Shame, Jason’s Lyric,  the last two films in the Matrix trilogy, and of course an executive producer role on CW’s “All of Us”. Not to mention her budding career as the leader of her band Wicked Wisdom and entertainment industry mogul as head of her production company 100% Womon.
